The Adrienne Boot is everything one has come to expect from Frye-meticulous attention to detail and customer needs such as comfort and sturdiness combined with a cutting edge, lightly retro influenced style.

However, though I order as many suggested 1/2 size smaller than my usual boot size—I still found I need to order a complete size down. Usual size: 7 Ordered Size: 6.5 Needed: 6. Still not sure how the 6 will fit as when I went for reorder and Amazon was out. It was odd fit though… ankes were quite boxy and shaft was quite baggy though the actual shoe portion fit relatively ok.

Costumer Review

I have had these boots for 5 years now (I have them in both black and brown) and they still fit and feel great. I have had them each resoled once. The leather is soft but durable, and wears well. They sort of have a cowboy rugged feel, but still enough style to wear them with a skirt. I read the review about the wide calf area. I didn’t find this at all (I don’t think I have big calves (I weigh 120) but who knows. I find they are one of the few boots that fit well under a tighter boot cut jean. They are not “snug” around the calf, but the boots don’t “show” or “snag” (meaning there is enough room to wear under (not tucked in) a pair of jeans (or at least the ones I wear). I still get compliments on these kickers. Gotta love that. FRYE makes a great shoe.
